In memoriam: Sherin Lance
I recently learned that one of our long-time volunteers, Sherin Lance, passed away.
I first met Sherin shortly after I become involved in the party. She was welcoming and understood the issues I brought forth about east county since she lived east of 82nd Street herself.
In the next six and a half years, we worked together quite a bit. She was always there when I needed her. Even when the 2006 election was over and people had stopped coming, Sherin was still in the office volunteering. She was inputting information on those who volunteered, helping update information, and more.
She lived in an area of the county not well covered by PCPs, and she was always on the lookout for new volunteers for the party.
Sherin will definitely be missed.
There will be a celebration of her life from 2 to 4:30 pm on June 9th at the Mt Scott Recreation Center (5530 SE 72nd Ave), followed by a reception at the home she shared with her husband, Bud (10626 SE Rex St, 97266).
