Senate and House Democrats release agendas for 2008 session

Salem-- Democratic Leaders in the House and Senate announced plans today to pass a series of measures in the February session to make Oregonians safer, improve the quality of life for senior citizens and children, provide greater fairness for Oregon homeowners and create more accountability in state government.

Multnomah County: A comparison of Measure 37 and 49

Now that last month's election has been certified, the precinct by precinct numbers are available. These numbers show how many people voted for or against an item, how many over voted, and how many under voted. Using these numbers, I've looked at Multnomah County and put together comparisons of how Measures 37 and 49 did in the county.

In 2004, 69 of the county's 127 precincts voted for Measure 37 and 57 against (there is one precinct in the county with 0 voters).

The 2007 Legislative Session has come to a close. I am proud to say that it has been a good year for Oregonian families. I was a strong advocate for health-care reform, safer communities, worker security and strong schools for our children. I would like to thank all of you for your support, hard work, and suggestions; they were what guided me this session.
