Elections 2008

2008: The year we elect Barack Obama President, Jeff Merkley U.S. Senator, and take our country back! But it won't happen on its own: Every vote has to be earned, so here's what you can do to be part of this historic year's victories:

Volunteer: Every candidate has a website, and we've listed them so you can find your local Oregon House or Senate candidate and support them.

Donate: Yup, once again, it's about the money. Every campaign needs it. Even if you have just $25 to give to your local candidate, it's appreciated and it adds up.

Ballot Measures: There's a ton of them bad boys on the ballot this year, and most of them stink, the product of Mannix, Sizemore and their cronies. Defend Oregon is taking the lead on these battles; give them all the help you can.

In addition this is where discussion about organizing within the district would take place. This blog is maintained by the District Leader and Assitnat District Leaders for this district.

Like the site as a whole, we are currently undergoing a major transition to this new website, so some sections and possibly whole portions of content may be temporarily unavailable, incomplete, or in flux for the time being. The position of district leader was voted on and filled by Mads Ledet on 12/8/05 just prior to the regular monthly meeting at the Hollywood Senior Center. All PCPs in the district have been sent a letter with this and other information.

I am not scheduling a meeting in January as I have been under the weather all during the holidays. I sent an email to every PCP that responded to my letter. mads

March meeting

Submitted by District 50 on February 26, 2006 - 7:55pm.

The February meeting was canceled due to a family emergency. Our next meeting will be held on the the regular date, 3rd Tuesday (of March), same time, same place. This meeting will include the February topics as covered in the letter sent to all pcps.
