Welcome to the new year, and to a new era in America. Change is coming, and we helped bring it right here in Oregon's bluest county. Newsletter editor Mark Schwebke kicks off 2009 with a newsletter full of important info for all county Dems.

• Biennial Organization Meeting: On Jan 8th, the Multnomah County Democratic Central Committee will elect new party officers as well as delegates to the State Central Committee and our local Congressional District Committees. 
• Celsi Dinner: February 20th is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and our chance to honor a number of outstanding Democrats. Speakers include John Kroger, Steve Novick, Carl Wolfson & Karol Collymore.  There's a silent auction, live auction and, above all, the chance to celebrate 2008 and get 2009 started off right. Tickets on sale now. The Celsi Award will be presented to an outstanding volunteer.
